The Highland Lakes Women's Club... The HLWC consists of a diverse group of women that meet the first Tuesday of each month. We get together to meet our neighbors and hear someone from our community talk about things that are of interest to the women in Highland Lakes. Light refreshments are served.
We have numerous special interest groups that you can sign up for as a benefit of joining the women's club. The HLWC is also involved with local charitable organizations and we provide home-cooked meals to neighbors in need due to family illness or a new baby.
Annual dues are $20.00 per year (due each September). This small fee helps to cover the cost of the newsletters, paper products for the monthly meetings, our website, mailings/flyers sent out to the members, and one neighborhood directory per member which is printed each November. We hope you will attend a meeting soon. We are certain you'll find the HLWC a wonderful way to meet your neighbors and make new friends, while also helping to make a difference in our community.
Membership Information
Membership dues are only $20 annually. The membership year runs Sept - May and dues are "due" every September. There are no general meetings June, July and August, although many special interest groups continue to meet. To join, please bring your $20 to the next meeting or contact the Treasurer Marian Tain at josephtain@bellsouth.net . Dues pay for monthly meetings, flyers & mailings, the annual member directory, and the website.
Neighborhood Directory
The Women's Club publishes a neighborhood directory once a year for your convenience. Pick one up at a meeting or contact the Database Manager, Ellen Morgan at ellenmw@excite.com, for your copy. The directory is printed each year in Nov./Dec. You may choose to place an advertisement in the directory. Prices range from $25 to $150 according to size and content. Please contact Ellen Morgan to place an ad. We offer a free website ad with your paid directory ad.
History/Publicity

Holiday Decorations
The Women’s Club makes the holiday season even more special with beautiful gate decorations created and maintained. If you are interested in helping us create more decorations or if you would like to join the committee that puts up and takes down the decorations each year, please contact the Holiday Decoration Manager, Rosalyn Bell at rotobell@bellsouth.net.
Hospitality
The Hospitality Committee is responsible for lining up people to provide meals to families with new babies, serious illnesses/surgeries, or deaths. We are in need of volunteers to help. Please contact Jennifer Brady at 437-9636 or djbrady@charter.net to join the commitee or to let the commitee know of a neighbor in need.

Newsletter/Website
The newsletter and website has information related to the Highland Lakes Women's Club and the Neighborhood itself. Information is updated monthly and the newsletter is ditributed by mail and e-mail monthly. You may also check the website for a current and past copies of newsletters. If you would like to submit information to the newsletter or website, please contact Emily Volavka at volavkae@bellsouth.net. To add/delete your email to/from the distribution list, please contact the Website Manager.
Project Directors
Each year the HLWC hosts 3 special events. These include the annual Fall Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, and Spring Fling.
